This painting is one of my wife's favorites. As with all my paintings, accuracy and authenticity is very important to me. The Chinese artifacts on the mantel are all genuine items, which I borrowed from a neighbor who is an antique dealer. As to the Pandas, I wanted to paint them in a secluded area, give them the protection here that they cannot have in reality.
