In the plains of Savannah you'll find the most beautiful lions. In the Massai Mara the grass is tall and tawny colored - the lions camoflage well. Here the grass is so soft their manes don't catch or get mangled, so the lions here have great long perfect manes. I love this painting, a male and a female taking a stroll under a stormy sky, it's really kind of romantic.
